How To Clean Your Bathroom Cabinets
Do you ever feel like your life is extremely over cluttered? The plates no longer seem to fit in the cupboards, the children’s toy chests are overflowing, and suddenly you have no more closet space. Nothing is more annoying than having trouble finding something because you have no idea where one item is amongst all the other stuff that you have. The worst place for this organizational dilemma is also the bathroom cabinets. These compartments, in addition to the many drawers on your bathroom vanity, are supposed to help you keep everything organized and orderly!
It is time to take back your bathroom. You can beat clutter and you can make sure it never encroaches again! Follow these simple steps to reestablish order in your bathroom’s vanity and linen cabinet.
1) The first step is to throw things away! Grab a large trash bag and go through the drawers one by one. Toss anything that is empty, dirty, or otherwise unusable. The items that you do want to keep should go into a large box or on the floor if you plan to complete the entire cleaning process in one sitting. This step does not need to take long. If you are not sure, just throw it into the maybe/keeping pile. After you have thrown out the majority of things, you will start feeling better right away!
2) Now you need to get out that brush and powerful cleaning solution. Depending on how dirty the insides of the cabinets and drawers are, you might have a small or big job in front of you. Regardless, you need to take the advantage of these empty drawers now and make sure they are all cleaned out to prevent mold in the future.
3) Start sorting through the keeping/maybe pile. If you have not used an item for a year, then you should toss it or donate it. Remember, the point here is to de-clutter! Do not hold onto lotions or make-up items you no longer use because you have replaced them with products you like better.
4) Purchase some organization containers that will fit in your drawers and cabinets if you think they will help you keep track of all the items you need to keep in your bathroom vanity. Viola! Now that you are organized, I hope that you are able to stay that way. Good luck!
