my friend wants to create a minifoodle breed of dog should i allow her to use my stud mini foxie ?
my friend has bred pedigree toy poodles (cream colour) for 7 years and she wants to breed one litter of mini foodles (mini foxie x toy poodle) after that she wants to go back to her pedigree breeding. she wants to use my stud mini foxie dog to mate her female toy poodle in her next season, im a bit concerned as in my opinion she thinks she is going to make a fortune by selling a so called ‘new designer dog’ but i personally thimk she will put a black mark against her kennel , as people wont think her poodles are pure after this phase, and im worried it may come back on my mini foxie kennels and i believe pure is pure, i also have another male mini foxie whom i dont breed from anymore due to a coat irregularity he has a grey and red spots from ancestoral throwbacks. so he is entire but not for breeding. should i lend her that stud ?or my breeding male??
im so confused…i dont want to hurt my friend but i need an honest opinion , i dont want her to be upset.what should i tell her??
No.
Take her to the shelter or pound and check out all the designer breeds that get euthanized on a daily basis. Foxies are a great breed themselves. Don’t muddy it by breeding them with poodles.
